Malaysian School Gradebook — SPM and STPM with IPTA Admission Support
Malaysian secondary schools use two distinct qualification frameworks: SPM (O-Level, 11-band A+ to G) and STPM (A-Level, 8-band A to F with GPA mapping). OpenEduCat handles both with the `my_qualification` flag, automatically computes the Best-9 SPM aggregate and STPM CGPA across three Penggal, and generates Sijil certificates in Lembaga Peperiksaan format for university and employer submission.

Dual SPM/STPM Framework
The `my_qualification` flag routes students to SPM (11-band letter grades) or STPM (8-band GPA mapping) automatically. A school with Form 5 and Form 6/7 students uses one system for both qualifications.
Best-9 SPM Aggregate
Automatically selects nine best subject grades per Lembaga Peperiksaan rules, excluding co-curricular and elective subjects. Used for IPTA university admission — the selection is rule-bound and consistent across all students.
STPM CGPA Across Three Penggal
Weighted cumulative GPA across Penggal 1, 2, and 3. Each letter grade maps to a GPA point (A=4.0, B+=3.5). CGPA is maintained live and used for university early admission applications.
SPM Credit Counter
Automatically tracks the number of subjects at C grade or above (credit threshold). The university eligibility minimum of five credits including English and Mathematics is monitored throughout the year.

Official certificate listing subject codes, grades, and aggregate scores (Best-9 for SPM, CGPA for STPM) in Lembaga Peperiksaan format for universities and employers.

SPM and STPM Resit Policy
SPM candidates may resit individual subjects in subsequent examination sittings. STPM candidates may resit Penggal components; the system recomputes CGPA after each resit. All resit history is preserved with sitting numbers for accurate transcript reporting.
