Korean High School Gradebook — Stanine 석차등급 with NEIS Compliance
South Korean high schools use a cohort-relative 9-level stanine system (석차등급) where the same raw score earns a different grade depending on where it falls in the class distribution. Cohort-Relative Stanine Computation
`kr_stanine` is derived from percentile rank among enrolled peers in the same subject and semester. It updates automatically when new scores are entered or cohort composition changes — no manual recalculation.

Raw score (원점수), cohort mean (평균), and standard deviation (표준편차) are stored and displayed alongside the stanine on all official records as required by NEIS and university admission offices.
이수단위 Credit Accumulation
Each subject carries an 이수단위 (credit unit) value. The system accumulates totals across semesters and flags any student whose accumulated credits fall below the minimum required for high school completion.
