It is structural separation at the database level, which means access controls, audit trails, and financial reporting respect campus boundaries automatically.

When a room allocation is confirmed in the campus module, the system creates a fee entry in the student's account using the fee structure associated with that room type or residence hall. This happens without anyone re-entering amounts in the finance system. If a student changes rooms mid-semester, the fee adjustment generates automatically based on the rate difference. Refund calculations for early departures follow the institution's configured refund policy. The bursar sees hostel charges alongside tuition, lab fees, and other line items in the student's consolidated fee account.

The system checks four data sources before confirming any booking: timetable-scheduled class sessions, existing facility allocations, active maintenance blocks, and event holds. If any conflict exists, the booking is blocked and the user sees the specific reason, for example, Organic Chemistry Lab is scheduled in that room from 10 AM to 12 PM, or a maintenance window is open for HVAC repair on that date.
