Paymob School Fee Payment Integration

Enterprise EditionPayment Processing

Collect school fees across MENA — cards, Fawry, Meeza, and mobile wallets in Egypt, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Pakistan

Overview

Paymob is the dominant payment infrastructure provider in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), serving businesses in Egypt, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Palestine, Pakistan, Kenya, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain. For private schools, international schools, and universities operating in these markets, Paymob enables fee collection via the payment methods that MENA parents trust most: Meeza (Egypt's national debit card), Fawry (Egypt's payment network), international cards, and mobile wallets. In Egypt specifically — one of Africa's largest education markets — Fawry is transformational: parents can pay school fees at 200,000+ Fawry points across pharmacies, supermarkets, and telecom shops. For families without bank accounts or credit cards, this makes fee payment accessible everywhere. OpenEduCat generates a Fawry reference code per invoice that the parent presents at any Fawry agent. For UAE and Saudi Arabia campuses, Paymob handles the local card schemes (mada in Saudi Arabia, NAPS in UAE) alongside Visa and Mastercard.

Key Capabilities

Fawry (Egypt)

Generate Fawry bill reference codes per student invoice. Parents pay at any of 200,000+ Fawry agents (pharmacies, shops, kiosks) or online via Fawry Plus.

Meeza (Egypt)

Egypt's national debit card scheme, issued by all Egyptian banks. Required alongside international Visa/Mastercard for full domestic card coverage.

mada (Saudi Arabia)

Saudi Arabia's national payment scheme. Required for full debit card coverage in KSA alongside international cards.

Mobile Wallets

Vodafone Cash, Etisalat Cash, Orange Cash, and WE Pay (Egypt). STC Pay (Saudi Arabia). Supported per country of operation.

Buy Now Pay Later

Paymob's BNPL partners offer interest-free installments for large fee amounts — relevant for premium and international school fee levels in UAE and KSA.

Installment Plans

Card installment schemes from major Egyptian, UAE, and Saudi banks — 3, 6, 9 months. Parents spread large annual fees without paying interest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, but you need separate Paymob accounts for each country (each registered locally with a local bank for settlement). In OpenEduCat, configure two Paymob integrations — one for EGP and one for AED — and route students to the appropriate checkout based on their campus.
