Payment Gateway Integrations for Schools

Enterprise EditionPayment Processing

Collect school fees in any country — 19 payment gateways covering cards, UPI, Mobile Money, Pix, iDEAL, Fawry, and 200+ local payment methods

Overview

OpenEduCat integrates with 19 payment gateways covering every major education market globally. Connect your student fee portal to the gateway your parents actually use — UPI for Indian schools, M-PESA for African institutions, Pix for Brazilian universities, iDEAL for Dutch schools, Fawry for Egyptian campuses, GCash for Philippine universities. Every gateway integration shares the same core benefit: when a parent pays, the student's invoice marks paid automatically, a receipt generates, and the transaction posts to the GL — without any manual data entry by finance staff. Bulk gateway settlements split into individual student transactions, eliminating month-end reconciliation. For institutions operating across multiple countries, OpenEduCat supports multiple payment providers simultaneously — routing each student to the appropriate gateway based on their campus or billing currency. Finance leadership sees a unified collection dashboard across all markets. All 19 gateways handle card data on their own PCI DSS certified servers. Your OpenEduCat instance never stores or processes card numbers, keeping your institution's compliance scope minimal.

Key Capabilities

19 Payment Gateways

Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, Flutterwave, Mercado Pago, Xendit, Paymob, Mollie, Adyen, Authorize.Net, Worldline, Nuvei, Amazon Payment Services, DPO Pay, iyzico, Toss Payments, Redsys, AsiaPay, Buckaroo.

200+ Local Payment Methods

UPI (India), M-PESA (Kenya/Tanzania), Pix (Brazil), iDEAL (Netherlands), Bancontact (Belgium), Fawry (Egypt), GCash (Philippines), QRIS (Indonesia), MADA (Saudi Arabia), Bizum (Spain), and more.

Automatic Reconciliation

Every payment instantly marks the matching student invoice paid and posts to the GL. Bulk bank deposits split into individual student transactions — no manual matching at month-end.

Multi-Gateway, Multi-Country

Run Razorpay for Indian campuses, Flutterwave for African campuses, and Mollie for European campuses from a single OpenEduCat instance. Each settles to the correct local bank account.

Installment & Recurring Billing

Configure semester, quarterly, or monthly installment plans. Save a card or bank mandate once and charge automatically on each due date without requiring parent action.

PCI DSS Compliant by Design

All gateways use hosted payment pages or tokenization. Card data never touches your server — your institution's PCI scope is limited to your gateway merchant agreement.

Setup Guide

1

Choose Your Gateway by Region

India → Razorpay. Africa → Flutterwave or DPO Pay. Brazil/LatAm → Mercado Pago. Europe → Mollie, Worldline, or Buckaroo. MENA → Paymob or Amazon Payment Services. SEA → Xendit. Global → Stripe or Adyen.

2

Create a Merchant Account

Sign up with your chosen gateway. Complete business verification with your institution's registration documents and bank account details. Most gateways verify within 1–3 business days.

3

Configure in OpenEduCat

Go to Settings > Payment Providers. Select your gateway, enter API keys (publishable key and secret key), and enable the currencies and payment methods for your student population.

4

Configure Fee Structure

Set up fee categories (tuition, exam, hostel, transport) and link to the payment provider. Configure installment schedules if offering term-based or monthly payment plans.

5

Test and Go Live

Process a test payment using your gateway's sandbox. Verify the invoice marks paid, GL posts correctly, receipt generates. Switch to live keys and communicate the new payment portal to families.
