Microsoft 365 Integration

Enterprise EditionProductivity Suite

Unify Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, and Azure AD with your education ERP

Overview

Bridge OpenEduCat and Microsoft 365 to deliver a consistent experience for institutions already invested in the Microsoft ecosystem. Schedule and join Teams meetings from the timetable, store and share course materials through OneDrive, sync academic calendars to Outlook, and manage single sign-on through Azure Active Directory. IT administrators get centralized identity management while educators work within the Microsoft tools they already know.

Key Capabilities

Microsoft Teams Integration

Create Teams channels per course, schedule meetings from the timetable, and record attendance automatically when students join class sessions.

OneDrive File Sharing

Link OneDrive folders to courses for centralized document storage. Students submit assignments via OneDrive and faculty access them directly in OpenEduCat.

Outlook Calendar Sync

Academic schedules, exam dates, and institutional events sync to Outlook calendars for staff, students, and parents.

Azure AD Single Sign-On

Authenticate users via Azure Active Directory. Provision and deprovision accounts automatically based on enrollment status.

Power BI Reporting

Push OpenEduCat data to Power BI for advanced dashboards covering enrollment trends, attendance patterns, and financial analytics.

SharePoint Document Libraries

Publish policies, handbooks, and institutional documents to SharePoint with automatic versioning linked to OpenEduCat records.

Setup Guide

1

Register Azure AD Application

Register a new application in Azure AD portal with the required API permissions for Teams, Graph API, and OneDrive.

2

Configure Application Permissions

Grant delegated and application permissions for Calendar, Files, Users, and Teams. Have your Azure AD admin approve the consent.

3

Install Microsoft 365 Module

In OpenEduCat Settings > Integrations, install the Microsoft 365 module and enter the Azure AD tenant ID, client ID, and client secret.

4

Configure User Provisioning

Map OpenEduCat user roles to Azure AD groups. Enable automatic provisioning so new students and staff get Microsoft accounts on enrollment.

5

Activate and Monitor

Enable the integration, run the initial sync, and configure monitoring alerts for sync failures in the OpenEduCat admin dashboard.
