Worldline School Fee Payment Integration

Édition EntreprisePayment Processing

Collect school fees across Europe with Worldline — Bancontact, iDEAL, SEPA, and cards in Belgium, France, Germany, and the Netherlands

Présentation

Worldline is Europe's largest payment processor, formed through the merger of Ingenico, Bambora, Six Payment Services, and Equens. For educational institutions in Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, and other European markets, Worldline provides comprehensive payment acceptance with deep local payment method integrations. In Belgium, Worldline operates the Bancontact network directly — the national debit card standard used in 90%+ of Belgian online transactions. Belgian schools that integrate Worldline through OpenEduCat get direct Bancontact acceptance with the lowest possible processing fees, as there is no intermediary between the school and the national network. Worldline also supports in-person payment terminals for institutions with physical finance windows. The same merchant contract and settlement account handles both online portal payments and counter payments, giving finance a single reconciliation view.

Foire aux questions

Worldline operates the Bancontact network directly and offers both online and in-person payment terminals — better for institutions needing unified online + finance counter processing. Mollie is simpler to set up, developer-friendly, and has no monthly fees — better for institutions that only need online fee collection. Both support Bancontact and iDEAL equally well for online payments.
