School Management System in Turkey
Run admissions, attendance, exams, and fees for your özel okul, Imam Hatip, or international school from one Turkish-first platform. Built for the realities of Turkish K-12 — YKS/LGS exam cycles, KVKK data residency, iyzico/Param/Garanti BBVA payments, and bilingual parent communication across Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir.
A school management system in Turkey is software that helps özel okullar, vakıf schools, Imam Hatip schools, and international schools manage admissions, attendance, gradebooks, fees, and parent communication while complying with KVKK (Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu) data-protection requirements. OpenEduCat ships with a Turkish/English bilingual UI, YKS/LGS exam tracking, TRY payment gateways, and Hijri/Gregorian dual-calendar support — running on hosting you control in Turkey or the EU.

Turkish + English Bilingual UI
Switch the entire interface between Türkçe and English per user — useful for international schools where Turkish-speaking parents log in alongside expat staff. All notifications, report cards, and parent SMS templates ship in both languages out of the box.
MEB e-Okul & MEBBİS Awareness
Native data layouts mirror the columns used by MEB's e-Okul and MEBBİS systems — student ID (T.C. Kimlik No), class section, branch, and grade levels — so administrators can export rosters and exam results that re-import into ministry systems with minimal cleanup. Direct e-Okul API sync is on our roadmap, not live today.
YKS & LGS Exam Tracking
Track mock exam (deneme sınavı) results, net scores, percentile bands, and subject-wise progress for LGS (8. sınıf) and YKS (TYT/AYT) candidates. Compare a student's net trajectory against class and school averages, and flag students who need rehberlik intervention.
Hijri + Gregorian Dual Calendar
Imam Hatip schools and observant families can view holidays, exam windows, and Ramazan-adjusted timetables on both the Hijri (Rumi/Miladi) and Gregorian calendars side by side. Friday prayer breaks and Cuma-day schedules are configurable per branch.
TRY Payment Gateways (iyzico, Param, Garanti BBVA)
Collect tuition (okul ücreti), service fees (servis), cafeteria (yemekhane), and uniform payments in Turkish Lira through iyzico, Param POS, or Garanti BBVA Sanal POS. Supports installment plans (taksitli ödeme) — standard expectation for Turkish private-school fees.
KVKK-Aligned Data Handling
Role-based access, audit logs, explicit student/parent consent records, and configurable data-retention rules support your KVKK compliance program. Self-host on a Turkish data center (Türk Telekom, TurkNet, or a VERBİS-registered provider) to keep personal data inside Turkey.

Juggling tuition collection in TRY with installments, parent WhatsApp groups, and MEB reporting — often across multiple kampüs in Beşiktaş, Çankaya, or Bornova — using a mix of Excel and an old desktop tool.
solutionPage.useCasesOutcomeLabel
One bilingual portal where rehber öğretmen, muhasebe, and idare see the same student record; parents pay taksitli through iyzico; and the okul müdürü exports MEB-ready rosters in minutes instead of days.
solutionPage.useCasesChallengeLabel
Running an IB MYP or Cambridge IGCSE programme alongside a Turkish curriculum stream, with expat teachers needing English UI and Turkish parents needing Türkçe report cards.
solutionPage.useCasesOutcomeLabel
Per-user language switching, custom IB/IGCSE assessment scales running in parallel with Turkish 100-point grading, and a single fee ledger that handles both USD/EUR international tuition and TRY local fees.

Does OpenEduCat integrate with MEB's e-Okul and MEBBİS?
We mirror the e-Okul and MEBBİS data layouts (T.C. Kimlik No, sınıf, şube, ders, not) so you can export rosters and grades in a format that re-imports cleanly. A direct e-Okul API connector is on our roadmap — not live in the current release. Most Turkish private schools today use a one-way export workflow because the e-Okul API surface for third-party systems is intentionally narrow.
How good is the Turkish UI — is it a Google Translate job?
The Türkçe interface is professionally translated, not machine-translated, and reviewed by native Turkish school administrators. Education-specific terms (rehberlik, zümre, veli toplantısı, karne, dönem, kanaat notu) use the wording teachers actually use, not literal English-to-Turkish renderings.
Can we track LGS and YKS exam preparation?
Yes. Configure deneme sınavı templates for LGS (sözel, sayısal, fen, yabancı dil) or YKS (TYT + AYT branches), record net scores, and chart trajectories per student. The system flags students whose net drops more than a configurable threshold so rehber öğretmen can intervene before the gerçek sınav.
Is this KVKK compliant?
OpenEduCat gives you the technical controls KVKK expects — role-based access, audit logs, consent capture, data-retention policies, and the ability to fulfill veri sahibi başvuruları (data subject requests). KVKK compliance is ultimately a program your school operates, not a checkbox vendors can tick. You'll still need a VERBİS registration and an Aydınlatma Metni for parents. We help with the technical layer; your hukuk müşaviri owns the policy layer.
Can we host the system inside Turkey for data sovereignty?
Yes. Because OpenEduCat is open-source, you can deploy it on any Turkish hosting provider — Türk Telekom Bulut, TurkNet, Vargonen, or your own kampüs server — so personal data of students and parents never leaves Turkey. EU hosting (Frankfurt, Amsterdam) is also fine for KVKK if your veri sorumlusu policy permits it.
What is the total cost in TRY for a 500-student school?
OpenEduCat Community Edition is free (open-source). For a 500-student özel okul, realistic annual cost is roughly: hosting on a Turkish VPS ~₺18,000–₺36,000/yıl, implementation and Türkçe training from a local partner ~₺80,000–₺200,000 one-time, and optional Enterprise modules + support ~₺120,000–₺250,000/yıl. Compared to per-student SaaS pricing from K12NET or Okul365, schools usually break even by year two.
