AI Rubric Generator for High School

Ms. Kim teaches AP Language and Composition. The College Board's AP rubric for the rhetorical analysis essay is well-defined but does not break down how to develop the analysis criterion for her students' growth over the year. She generates a classroom rubric that maps to the AP scoring criteria but expands the analysis dimension into four sub-criteria: identification of rhetorical device, explanation of how the device functions in context, connection to the author's overall purpose, and consideration of how a different audience might receive the effect. Her students know exactly what they are building toward, and the rubric narrows the gap between their current performance and AP-level performance month by month.
