Educational Institutes当前面临的挑战
如果这些问题听起来很熟悉,OpenEduCat 正是为解决它们而设计的。
Disconnected Systems Across Departments
Admissions lives in one tool, fees in another, attendance in spreadsheets, and grades in a third system. Staff waste hours reconciling data that should connect automatically.
Every Report Requires Manual Assembly
When leadership requests an enrollment report or a board presentation, staff spend days pulling numbers from multiple platforms, introducing errors and consuming time that belongs to students.
No Single Source of Truth for Student Data
Without a unified database, a student's academic record, fee status, attendance history, and communication log are scattered — making informed decisions slow and error-prone.
Software That Doesn't Fit Your Institution Type
Generic SIS platforms are built for one institution type. Schools get features designed for universities; universities get workflows designed for K-12. OpenEduCat configures to fit your actual structure.
Vendor Lock-In and Forced Upgrades
Proprietary ERP vendors control your data, your upgrade schedule, and your integration options. When they raise prices or end support, you have no exit. Open source eliminates this risk.
Implementation Takes Years, Not Weeks
Enterprise ERP deployments from SAP or Oracle routinely take 18-36 months and millions in consulting fees. OpenEduCat institutions go live in 4-8 weeks with our dedicated implementation team.

关于educational institute管理软件的常见问题。
What types of educational institutions can use OpenEduCat?
OpenEduCat is designed for any educational institution: K-12 schools, junior and senior colleges, universities, vocational training institutes, coaching centres, language schools, music schools, and preschools. The modular architecture allows each institution type to enable only relevant modules and configure workflows to match their specific academic structure and regulatory requirements.
How long does implementation take?
Most institutions go live in 4-8 weeks. Small to mid-size institutions typically complete in 4-6 weeks. Larger multi-campus institutions require 8-16 weeks for a phased rollout. Our implementation team handles data migration, configuration, staff training, and post-launch support at every stage. This is dramatically faster than traditional ERP implementations, which commonly take 12-36 months.
What is the difference between Community and Enterprise edition?
The Community Edition is free and open-source, covering core academic, SIS, attendance, and finance modules. It is self-hosted and maintained by your own IT team. The Enterprise Edition adds managed cloud hosting, WhatsApp integration, advanced analytics, API access, and dedicated SLA-backed support with a named account manager. Enterprise pricing is per user. Most institutions start with Community and upgrade to Enterprise as they scale.
How much does open source education ERP cost?
The Community Edition is free to download and self-host. Institutions that need managed cloud hosting, premium modules, dedicated support, or implementation services choose the Enterprise Edition. Enterprise pricing is per user. Contact us for a quote based on your institution size and module requirements. Both editions include the same core academic functionality — the difference is hosting, support, and advanced modules.
Can OpenEduCat migrate data from our current system?
Yes. OpenEduCat has migrated data from legacy school management systems, Excel spreadsheets, Odoo Community, campus-specific custom platforms, and major ERP providers. Our migration team handles student records, academic transcripts, fee history, staff data, and historical attendance. We run both systems in parallel during a transition period to ensure data accuracy before full switchover.
Does OpenEduCat support multiple campuses or branches?
Yes. OpenEduCat's multi-campus module allows each campus or branch to operate independently with its own academic calendar, fee structures, and policies, while central administration views consolidated reporting across all locations. Cross-campus enrollment, shared resource management, and unified student databases are all supported.
Is OpenEduCat suitable for institutions in emerging markets?
Yes. OpenEduCat is used across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. The platform supports multiple languages, multi-currency fees, and local regulatory reporting requirements. The Community Edition is free to self-host, making it accessible to institutions in markets where proprietary ERP licensing is cost-prohibitive.
